This amount represents the demurrage on wagons, month
by month, up to October 1923. The Through Traffic was entirely
suspended from November 1923, owing to folitical trouble on the
Chinese Section, some wagons were however detained on Chinese
Section and demurrage on these is included in 1924 account.
1924..

No monthly demurrage accounts as the Through Traffic
was entirely suspended in 1924, except for the slow through
trains 12 days in Jeptember. The amount of 25,759.00 is
for British Section wagons detained on Chinese section during
part of 1923 and the whole of 1924.
1925.

During 1925 the Through Traffic was resumed at intervals,
but only 166 slow through trains ran. Monthly demurrage account
was therefore made up to June only (p4,945.00) and together with
demurrage charges on wagons detained on Chinese section the total
amounted to $11,892.00.
